ABOUT RECALLSCOUT

Built for the supply chain teams who can't afford to be last.

RecallScout was founded on a simple observation: most brands find out about supplier recalls from the news. By then, the damage — chargebacks, product destruction, brand exposure — is already done.

Our mission

We monitor 8 regulatory databases — FDA, USDA FSIS, CFIA, Health Canada, EU RASFF, UK FSA, FDA Cosmetics, and CPSC — and cross-reference every recall against your specific supplier network. When a match is found, you know within minutes, not days.

Our risk scoring model combines recall class, frequency, recency, import refusal history, and warning letter signals into a single 0–100 composite score per supplier. The goal is to give procurement and quality assurance teams a single, actionable view of supplier risk — before it becomes a crisis.

What we believe

Speed over noise

A recall alert that arrives after the news is useless. We built RecallScout to surface signals before they become headlines.

Multi-jurisdiction by default

Food and CPG supply chains don't stop at borders. We monitor FDA, USDA, CFIA, Health Canada, EU RASFF, and UK FSA in a single feed.

Your data stays yours

Your supplier list is your competitive intelligence. We never share it, never use it to train models, and never expose it to other users.

Built for operators

Every feature is designed for a supply chain manager who has 12 other things to do and needs a clear answer, fast.

How we got here

2022

Founded after a CPG brand discovered a supplier recall from a news article — three days after the FDA announcement.

2023

Launched with FDA and USDA FSIS monitoring. First 50 customers from the US natural food and supplement space.

2024

Added CFIA, Health Canada, EU RASFF, and UK FSA. Expanded to cover cosmetics and consumer products via CPSC.

2025

Launched Crisis Signals — pre-recall indicators from FDA Warning Letters and Import Alerts. Crossed 500 active brands monitored.

2026

Launched SupplierCheck (free public tool), Supplier Self-Assessments, Crisis Response Playbooks, and Compliance Export.
