Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly to us when you create an account, upload a supplier list, or contact us. This includes your name, email address, company name, and the supplier data you choose to monitor.

We also collect usage data automatically — including pages visited, features used, and session duration — to improve the product and diagnose issues. This data is collected via our self-hosted analytics system and does not use third-party tracking cookies.

How we use your information

We use the information we collect to provide, maintain, and improve RecallScout; to process transactions; to send you technical notices and support messages; and to respond to your comments and questions.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not share your supplier list data with any other users or organizations.

Data storage and security

Your data is stored on servers located in North America. We use industry-standard encryption (TLS 1.3) for all data in transit and AES-256 encryption for data at rest.

Supplier list data is stored in your account only and is not used to train any models or shared with any third parties, including regulatory agencies.

Regulatory data

RecallScout ingests publicly available data from government regulatory databases including FDA, USDA FSIS, CFIA, Health Canada, EU RASFF, UK FSA, and CPSC. This data is public information and is not subject to privacy restrictions. We do not modify or editorialize this data.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us at [email protected]. We will respond to all requests within 30 days.

If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have additional rights under GDPR including the right to data portability and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

Cookies

RecallScout uses a single session cookie for authentication purposes. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics cookies. You may disable cookies in your browser settings, but this will prevent you from logging in.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by email or by posting a notice on our website at least 14 days before the changes take effect.
